Job Purpose:
- The Early Childhood Assistant Center Director at Clayton Child Care Inc is responsible for supporting the Center Director in overseeing the daily operations of the childcare center. This role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with state regulations and company policies. The Assistant Center Director plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere among staff, children, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Center Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the childcare center, ensuring a high standard of care and education.
- Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Collaborate with the Center Director to develop and implement educational programs that meet the developmental needs of children.
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements and company policies, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with parents, addressing any concerns and providing regular updates on their child's progress.
- Assist in the management of the center's budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Participate in community outreach and marketing efforts to promote the center and increase enrollment.
- Step into the role of Center Director in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and operations.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a licensed child care facility or early childhood education setting.
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a child care or educational environment.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and implementation for early childhood programs.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage staff and daily operations effectively.
- Proficient in communication, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
- Competency in developing and maintaining relationships with families and community partners.
- Knowledge of state licensing regulations and accreditation standards for child care centers.
- Capability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Proficient in using computer software for administrative tasks, including Microsoft Office Suite.
