Starting Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000
Agape has a current opening for a Development Manager. In partnership with the Director of Development, the Development Manager plays a key role in advancing Agape’s mission. The Development Manager is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and stewarding relationships with donors and prospects to secure gifts typically ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. This role blends strategy and relationship-building, connecting generosity to impact while embodying Agape’s core values.
Key Responsibilities:
Donor Engagement & Fundraising
- Cultivate and manage a portfolio of at least 100 donors and prospects capable of giving $1,000 or more.
- Engage a minimum of 100 donors and prospects annually to drive movement toward secured gifts of $1,000 and above.
- Support the Director of Development implementing donor strategies and campaigns that align with Agape’s mission and annual goals.
- Promote and administer planned giving initiatives to expand long-term donor investment.
- Achieve annual fundraising goals established in partnership with the Director of Development, measured by total dollars raised, donor retention, and goal attainment.
Campaigns, Events & Stewardship
- Collaborate with the Director of Development and Chief Development Officer to plan and execute donor recognition and stewardship events.
- Support direct mail campaigns, special events, and volunteer engagement opportunities that deepen donor connections to Agape’s mission.
- Partner with the Director of Development and the Marketing & Communications Committee to implement the annual communications plan and produce donor-related materials (newsletters, appeals, reports, etc.).
- Represent Agape at community events, serving as an ambassador of the organization.
Operational Excellence
- Utilize donor databases and reporting tools to track fundraising performance and donor engagement.
- Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly giving reports to inform strategies and decisions.
- Contribute to Agape’s Performance Quality and Improvement (PQI) efforts by using data to strengthen development practices and outcomes.
Collaboration & Organizational Culture
- Participate actively in team meetings, agency meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Build cross-departmental relationships that reflect Agape’s core value of Interconnectedness and support organization-wide initiatives.
- Perform all other duties within the general scope of this position, as requested by the direct supervisor or other members of Agape Leadership.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
- Prolonged walking and standing at community sites, and especially during special events.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.
