JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)

Verify correct patient by using patient identifiers

Verify correct ordering provider and ordered exam

Set up for procedures following sterile technique

Appropriately prep anatomical site for procedure

Prepare patient for exam i.e. change into gown as necessary, remove jewelry, and any other items that may cause artifact on images

Position patients and adjust equipment for taking X-rays following established procedures.

Instruct patients regarding procedures.Â

Follow prescribed safety standards for procedural prep and operation of radiological equipment.

Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis.

Examine radiological images proper positioning, coning, exposure, and artifacts.

Clean and maintain examination rooms and stock necessary medical and radiological supplies.

Clean and make minor adjustments to radiological equipment.

Assist provider with procedures, operate C-arm
-
Perform chart preparation according to department standards.

Navigate and record accurate data in an electronic medical record and RIS/PACS systems.
-
Review and respond to the electronic medical record work list per department standard work.

Assist in patient education relating to medication instructions, procedures, wound care, scheduled appointments, or any other necessary information pertaining to patient care.

Prepare patient consents for procedures and verify labs are appropriate and current (per dept. protocol) prior to procedures

Perform related work as required.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 25 pounds. Requirements may include lifting or assisting in the lifting of patients and placing them in appropriate positions for operation of equipment. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of radiological equipment is required.          Â
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a clinical, outpatient setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and medicinal preparations.Â
Requirements may include working irregular hours.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. We also offer vacation pay as well as a 401k plan.
