We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Hotel Engineer to join our team at our new dual-branded Marriott hotel in Grovetown, GA. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our facility, ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hotel, including interior and exterior surface preparation and painting.

  • Conduct mid-level troubleshooting and engineering-related duties for all hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hotel's facilities and equipment.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of maintenance work areas and storage rooms.

  • Respond promptly to guest requests and service issues with a professional and positive attitude.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations and exceptional guest experiences.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, with a technical background.

  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering/maintenance or a related field.

  • Prior experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including sitting, bending, climbing, standing, reaching, and walking for up to 90% of the workday and lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs.

  • Certified Pool Operator and ServSafe certification.

  • Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Independent thinker with the ability to make decisions based on gathered information.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proper car insurance for business-related travel.
