SUMMARY: The Order Entry Clerk ensures the seamless processing of customer orders through our ERP system and coordination with logistics and production planning.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Order Management & Data Entry
- Accurately process all customer orders (national and DSD accounts) received via EDI, fax, email, and phone.
- Verify all orders for correct ship dates, required lead times, and applicable pricing or promotional terms.
- Update internal tracking spreadsheets and reports for visibility and follow-up.
- Utilize ERP and logistics systems (e.g., Deacom, Everyweigh) to ensure timely and accurate entry, planning, and fulfillment.
- Enter sales data into ERP system based on inputs from sales and customer service teams.
- Review past order history when applicable to resolve order issues or enter repeat orders efficiently.
Account Maintenance
- Collaborate with the accounting department to validate pricing, manage deductions, off-invoice credits, spoils, and commissions.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of each assigned customer account, including brokers, order history, issues, and specific requirements.
Production & Shipping Coordination
- Participate in daily meetings with Production Planning and Shipping to discuss order statuses, updates, and any changes required for in-house orders.
- Update internal systems to reflect changes discussed during production and logistics meetings.
Reporting
- Generate, update, and distribute daily and weekly reports related to order status, discrepancies, and performance metrics.
Inter-Company & Data Operations
- Execute Inter-Company (IC) transfers between the factory and other warehouse or distribution locations as needed.
- Coordinate the upload of forecasts and other key planning data into the ERP system.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Participate in Sales and Retail Sales team meetings and cross-departmental projects.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the Sales group to enhance order accuracy, speed, and service levels.
- Contribute to special projects and collaborative efforts with other departments, including Sales, Retail Sales, Accounting, and Logistics.
Other Duties

- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
- Schedule Monday through Friday. As well as, every other Saturday.
