Description

The YMCA is looking to hire a Youth Sports Coach who will be under the supervision of the Sports Program Director. This position is responsible for maintenance of sports fields, supervision of participants and related tasks as assigned. Looking for a qualified individual with proven experience in working with children.

 

Schedule:

Must be available Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm & Saturday mornings

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Inspect, prepare, and maintain sports fields.
  • Setup and remove sports equipment.
  • Register sports participants, check in teams/players.
  • Maintain/distribute paperwork.
  • Supervise program and report all incidents to supervisor.
  • Responsible for supporting group, private, semi private, clinics, leagues, and camps for children.
  • Act as Official/Scorekeeper.
  • Officiate sports competitions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties & responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

 

Education & Certification:

  • Must be 18+ years old. Experience in customer service preferred. Looking for Youth Sports experience
  • Must understand developmental learning.
  • Must be able to work with children ages 3 to 15 years old.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer and results orientation.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
