Position Objectives & General Responsibilities

The Product Manager is responsible for driving GlobeTax’s initiatives by prioritizing the project queue to maximize benefits to the company. This individual is expected to analyze data, strategize company-wide improvements, and deliver new products and enhancements to the Operations, Finance, Business Development, and Management teams.

Working Relationships – Reporting Structure

The individual in this position works with alongside Product Managers under the supervision of the Director of Product.

Tasks and Duties

• Bring together Operations, Development (IT), Projects, Client Services and Business Development to strategize new system opportunities and improvements of existing systems that align with the corporate strategy

• Train the Marketing, Sales, and Relationship Management teams on new products and product enhancements

• Develop and maintain product maps to assess current product state and future direction

• Coordinate and prioritize the development queue across the entire company

• Act as Product Owner in the Agile development process

• Manage the delivery of products and demonstration of new systems and enhancements to operational teams

• Work with the Marketing team to develop and customize marketing material based on corporate strategy, client/prospect feedback, and ongoing industry trends

• Guide operational teams on process improvements to improve efficiently and take full advantage of systems improvements

• Produce business cases for new product ideas

• Participate in client calls to obtain feedback from prospects and clients on GlobeTax’s products

• Monitor competition and marketplace trends

• Perform detailed cost analysis for each product to ensure ongoing profitability and profit maximization

The Product Manager is responsible for adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to the protection of confidential data, particularly sensitive employee and client information.

Qualifications (Skills, Education, Training and Experience)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) and a minimum of four years’ experience in product development, product management, strategic planning, or IT-related project management

• Experience leading new product development from inception through to full production and maintenance

• Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and creatively strategize

• Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions

• Professional interpersonal etiquette with proven ability to work collaboratively
