CNC DEPT LEAD

• The CNC Department Lead reports directly to the Area Manager and works cooperatively with others in different area/departments
• Must be able to work with other departments and employees to troubleshoot issues and produce a resolution process to ensure service outcomes are met
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; ability to write simple correspondence; effectively communicate information to management and external sources
• Follow production schedule ensuring production standards are met
• Train new employees
• Be a positive influence for team members
• Ensure quality standards are met and first piece inspections are followed
• Report end of shift production to Area Manager
• Ensure production is ran to BMT board production schedule
• Report any employee issues to Area Manager in a timely manner
• Ensure employees know their expectations and follow direction
• Must adhere to and follow all safety requirements/policies and maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Set a good example to motivate your team to perform their best
• Have integrity, be honest and humble

• One year experience in leading a team in a production area
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required
• Must be able to compute basic math problems to include fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Must have computer skills and general knowledge of production department.  Knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel is a plus
• Must have a strong drive for results with self-directed leadership, requiring minimal supervision, someone who thinks outside the box
• Must be able to operate pallet jack, forklift, may operate bander/unitizer; may operate other equipment as needed
• Be present and prepared in meetings and actively participate
• Ability to work in high paced environment
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Position may require bending, kneeling and stooping
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors and chemicals
• Must have punctual and dependable attendance record
