The Registered Respiratory Therapist administers a variety of therapeutic services and diagnostic tests to evaluate and care for our patients with respiratory insufficiencies and complexities. This position consults with the physician and provides instruction and medical direction to nursing and other staff members related to patient care and equipment necessary to maximize the potential of each patient.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be graduate of a Respiratory Therapy Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Respiratory Care
|
Experience:
|
1+ year pediatric healthcare experience preferred.
|
License/Certification/Credential:
|
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensed by the Oklahoma Medical Board. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter will be accepted until license is issued.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire).
CRT:
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensed by the Oklahoma Medical Board. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter will be accepted until license is issued.
- Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire).
AND
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (Must be willing to and obtain Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credentials within 1 year of hire).

Base Pay & Shift Differentials:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) starting hourly rate begins at $28.54 and goes up based on education and experience.
Bethany Children's also offers shift differentials for working evening, nights or weekend hours. If you were to work those time frames, that amount would be added to your hourly base rate each hour. Approved rates are as follows:

Weekdays - 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m: +$2.75/hour

Weekdays - 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m: +$6.00/hour
