Description

We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern to support our internal branding and communication initiatives. This role focuses on building a strong internal brand identity, supporting recruitment marketing, and ensuring consistent employee communication across multiple channels. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, social media, and engaging content. In addition to recruitment-focused branding, the intern will assist in maintaining the company’s overall presence on social media platforms to promote culture, values, and brand reputation. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in internal communications, employer branding, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, operations and marketing teams.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Internal Branding & Communication

  • Assist in developing and executing internal branding strategies aligned with company culture and core values.
  • Create engaging content for the monthly employee newsletter and intranet updates.
  • Write and edit internal communications including announcements, milestones, and employee recognition.
  • Partner with the creative team to gather content for internal and external communications (e.g., employee stories, project photos, job completions).

 

Recruitment Marketing

  • Update and maintain job descriptions to align with company tone, values, and inclusive language.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure all recruitment-related public content (e.g., job postings, career page, Glassdoor) reflects the employer brand.

 

Social Media & Engagement

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
  • Draft and schedule posts focused on recruitment, culture, company updates, and employee engagement.
  • Work with internal teams to highlight employee experience and company culture.

 

Company Swag & Materials

  • Manage the inventory and distribution of company swag (e.g., shirts, onboarding kits).
  • Source and reorder branded materials as needed, ensuring consistency with brand standards.
  • Coordinate swag requests for field and remote teams, including custom orders.

 

General Support

  • Maintain a content calendar for internal communications and social media.
  • Assist with promotional support for company events and recruiting activities.
  • Track and report on engagement metrics for internal content and social channels.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
  • Extensive knowledge of design and content tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, or SharePoint.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Creative thinker with an interest in branding, communications, and employee experience.
  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Bachelor's program in Marketing or Communications.
  • Prior work experience in marketing, HR communications, or social media management is a plus but not required.
  • Portfolio or writing samples encouraged, if available.

 

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a sedentary role for extended periods (approximately 75% of the time).
  • Regularly operate computers and office machinery with precision and efficiency.
  • Physical ability to navigate multi-level workspaces, including ascending and descending stairs as needed.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

  • Primarily an office-based role, with extended periods of work at a desk and computer.
  • Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 15 pounds as required.
