Position Summary
The Director of IT Operations is a key member of the Information Technology leadership team which establishes and communicates the strategic direction for the division. The Director oversees managers, staff and 3rd parties responsible for solutions development, cloud infrastructure, programming and technical analysis.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership colleagues to analyze the company’s strategic plans and develop efficient, cost-effective goals for the division that align with the company's overall direction. Communicate these goals and related initiatives throughout the organization, and work with direct reports to incorporate the goals into departmental and individual objectives.
- Provide leadership with informed recommendations and proposals on emerging technologies, helping to guide strategic decisions and technology adoption. Champion operational excellence via automation, process enhancements, and implementation of industry best practices.
- Oversee and manage projects, ensuring adherence to project management standards. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to keep leadership updated on project progress and key initiatives.
- Provide guidance for configuring cloud resources, identifying opportunities for enhancing system performance, and developing contingency plans and resources.
- Manage relationships with managed service providers(MSPs), mailroom operations providers and other IT vendors and partners. Oversee operational and budget administration, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and efficient use of resources.
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate staff to build a robust, cross-functional team. Prioritize and assign team members to projects. Provide or arrange training for direct reports, conduct performance evaluations and mentor technology staff. Promote a collaborative culture aligned with company values.
