ABOUT LIFEMOVES 

LifeMoves is the largest provider of interim housing and support services in the Bay Area. Last year LifeMoves  serviced over 7500 clients and returned over 2,000 people to housing and stability for 86% of families and 67% of  individuals who engaged in their programs. With over two dozen and counting interim housing and service  communities from Daly City to San Jose, LifeMoves gives our neighbors experiencing homelessness a temporary  place to call home while providing intensive, customized case management through both site-based programs and  community outreach that teaches and reinforces skills that clients need to return to and sustain stable housing.  

POSITION PURPOSE 

The Compliance Data Analyst will use the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and LifeMoves’  internal Salesforce system (Voyager) to provide timely and accurate data for deliverables within the Grants,  Contracts, and Compliance (GCC) team or the larger Development team. Data will be requested for recurring  contractually obligated reports, scheduled and unscheduled funding applications, and ad hoc requests. The  Compliance Data Analyst will also participate in regular data audits and data documentation projects, as well as  assist the Data and Compliance Manager with HMIS user management. A successful analyst will collaborate closely with staff across the organization to understand and fulfill reporting needs, communicate effectively, and deliver excellent customer service to stakeholders. 

This role qualifies for a hybrid schedule (a minimum of two days in the office and a maximum of three days remotely).

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Data request management:  

 

• Collaborate to monitor the data request ticketing system.

• Determine the scope and timeline of requests, and follow up with requesters as needed.
• Obtain the requested data from the HMIS and/or Salesforce system, clean and standardize the data, and answer specific questions using Excel tables, pivot tables, or prebuilt database reports.
• Follow up with requesters to ensure their needs are met in a timely manner; document any issues and revise processes as necessary for improvement. 

 

Reports management:  

• Collaborate with other GCC staff to monitor deadlines and work progress for regularly scheduled reports within the assigned portfolio of work (e.g., one county or program type).

• Obtain requested data from the HMIS and/or Salesforce system, clean and standardize the data, and address specific questions using Excel tables, pivot tables, or prebuilt database reports.

• Enter the completed data into spreadsheet templates or online report forms.
• Document completed reports in Salesforce and the internal filing system for the assigned portfolio of work.

• Collaborate with GCC and Impact & Learning teams to develop consistent definitions and approaches; document analysis and reporting processes.

 

Data clean-up and other duties as assigned. Assist with data clean-up projects as
needed to ensure efficient, accurate data reporting. Assist with HMIS user management and
HMIS-related requests from system administrators.

 

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS 

Needed qualifications:
• Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
• Basic experience in searching databases and retrieving requested data
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on a team with diverse individuals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect discrepancies

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software
  • Experience with social service nonprofit work, or lived experience of receiving social
  • services
  • Customer service or training experience

Skills:

• Deadline-oriented and adept at managing dynamic priorities

• Self-sufficient and able to work independently while discerning when to seek further

guidance

• Flexible – open to new ideas, strategies and methodologies

• Committed to collaborative teamwork and the LifeMoves mission and values

• Familiar with general issues of homelessness, and LifeMoves mission, programs and

operations
