US Heart and Vascular is in need of a full time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Heartplace in Plano, TX.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Explains procedures to patients and obtains informed consent from patient.

Administers all in-office nuclear tests.

Images, processes, and formats images for physician interpretation.
-
Maintains cleanliness of nuclear room.
-
Documents test results to physicians and patients, as directed by physician.

Verifies patient appointments the day before, to ensure use of isotope.

Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing, i.e., “do not take any medication 24 hours prior to visit.”

Nuclear Medicine Technologist will assist physicians as needed.

Maintains current CPR certification.

Always adheres to company safety standards, such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.

Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.

Performs all other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Degree or appropriate certification training.

Minimum two years cardiovascular screening experience.
-
ARRT and/or NMTCB registry and current Texas licensure in Nuclear Medicine.

Current CPR certification.
