US Heart and Vascular is seeking a full-time Remote Operations Director to join our growing Value Based Care operations team in Texas.

Position Summary:

This is a critical new opportunity to join a healthcare startup that is scaling VBC services across the platform. We are seeking an execution-oriented candidate with startup experience that will shape operational systems and processes that allow us to deliver high quality, affordable care at scale. This role provides ongoing leadership and program development for clinical services for complex cardiology patients inclusive of remote virtual care and in person complex cardiology care. This role will be responsible for building and managing best-in-class patient centric programs while ensuring operational excellence.

This role and work will evolve as VBC services expand, providing this leader with many opportunities to develop and execute mission critical operational programs across the platform to support VBC operations. This is a remote role and requires travel up to 40% within USHV markets.

 

Responsibilities:

Under the direction and guidance of the VP of Value Based Care Operations:

  • Oversee daily operations of VBC virtual and in person patient care services and remote monitoring services
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure alignment of business operations with delivery of high value patient care focused on outcomes
  • P&L responsibility for assigned services
  • Design and implement scalable systems, SOPs, and processes to improve efficiency and quality
  • Track KPIs across patient satisfaction, team performance, and operational benchmarks
  • Strategize and assist with building out/onto our VBC care models and enablement services, refining workflows, supporting the rapid deployment of programs and locations
  • Drive end-to-end virtual and in person patient care and monitoring programs and service lines launch and ongoing management lifecycle: scoping, timing, delegation, resourcing, performance metrics, and ongoing operational support
  • Ensure all clinic operations meet all compliance, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
  • Implement continuous improvement processes based on performance metrics and feedback from staff, providers, and partners
  • This position is remote with onsite visits to clinics and call centers

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to understand strategic priorities while “rolling up your sleeves” to drive operational change
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams
  • Must be able to function independently within the limits of the position
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational management principles, including P&L management and ability to balance cost while maintaining high-value patient care delivery
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to analyze processes and implement improvements to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency
  • Excellent mentoring and coaching skills with ability to provide transparent and timely feedback to drive individual and team performance
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), BI tools, and EHR proficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business and/or health-related field
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in healthcare operations, with at least 3 years in leadership roles
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in business and/or health-related field is preferred but not required
  • Cardiology, value-based care, telehealth, and/or population health experience is preferred but not required
  • Startup experience is preferred but not required
