Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assist in managing the Maintenance Department’s budget focusing on expenditures, and timely / satisfactory completion of projects to meet the expectations of Top Management.
  2. Assist in the development and planning of the maintenance Department’s annual budgets.
  3. Lead the development and planning of the annual Capital and Repair RFA budget
  4. Manage the design, budget, and the purchase of equipment, installation planning and start-up of all Capital and Repair projects.
  5. Evaluate and prioritize projects as they are received.
  6. Provide direction to outside contractors.
  7. Be a resource to the Manager of Safety and maintenance supervisor to ensure compliance with all Lopez Foods Safety Programs – Hot Work, Confined Space, Lock Out, and PSM for Ammonia, etc.

  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and a basic knowledge of Auto CAD.
  • Good working knowledge of EAM 7I software.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic refrigeration knowledge
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing and construction techniques
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Requires strong supervisor skills along with good verbal and written communication skills. Works with employees at all levels throughout the company as well as outside contractors and vendors
  • Ability to work with constantly changing priorities and timelines
