EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, rates, and percentage. Must be competent with standard quality control testing equipment and basic computer skills.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect of data, establish of facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Certified in First Aid, CPR, and Blood-borne Pathogens. Valid state level driver's license, which meets Company requirements of the Fleet Management Policy and insurance requirements. Six Sigma Black Belt experience, preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to inspect units for quality defects, including seeing scratches on cans, reading measuring devices such as micrometers, and seeing color deviations.
ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
