Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 AM to 10:30Â AM
Experience: 2 Years Class A Driving 53’ Dry Van Trailers with a Hazmat Endorsement.
California Sierra Express has been serving the air freight logistics industry for over 35 years. We operate six freight terminals in CA and one in Reno, NV. We're an overnight carrier serving international and domestic freight forwarders as a final mile Pick-Up and Delivery agent for shipments that travel around the globe.
Our Class A Line Haul Drivers support the operations department in the performance of daily activities by transferring time-sensitive freight overnight between our stations. You'll be joining a local team of over 50 people all committed to providing the best service possible to our customers who trust Cal Sierra to move their shipments on-time throughout the greater Bay Area and beyond.
This position is a Graveyard Driving Position based out of our Hayward terminal located at 23768 Eichler St. Our Hayward drivers typically do a half-turn along I-5 or in Fresno with a Northbound driver out of Los Angeles and return home every morning. This job requires exceptional attendance and reliability. A hazmat endorsement is MANDATORY.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Complete assigned route in a timely manner.
- Practice defensive driving principles and follow all company safety policies.
- Comply with all laws and regulations relating to driving, transporting and handling of freight including those issued by but limited to The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT).
- Comply with truck and trailer security requirements as outlined by the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA).
- Comply with safe work practices as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)
- Comply with federal drug and alcohol regulations.
