Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring efficient and safe manufacturing processes. This role includes troubleshooting machinery, performing routine maintenance, and meeting quality standards and production targets. The Manufacturing Technician plays a key role in maintaining smooth production operations and improving processes in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Duties
- Safely operate and monitor production equipment in compliance with established procedures.
- Consistently produce high-quality products that meet established specifications, minimizing defects and reducing waste.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Participate in the implementation of Operational Excellence continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support our safety culture by following EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines and actively participating in safety training and initiatives.
- Participate in quality control procedures, identifying and reporting any non-conforming issues.
- Identify and report any potential equipment malfunctions and assist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting as needed.
- Collect and record production data accurately and promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles and safety regulations.
- Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and products within the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with Supervisors, team members, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Assist in training new technicians or team members as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent training program.
- Strong understanding of basic mechanical and electrical principles is preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures is required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Prolonged exposure to loud noises.
- Capability to bend, reach, and climb ladders.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to traverse property and facility.
- Dexterity in hands and feet to operate forklift controls with precision.
- Required to wear PPE in the plant and complete safety training.
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt and reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
