Description

  • Develop and implement processes in a manufacturing environment; make recommendations for improvements to production methods
  • Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Develop equipment maintenance and repair schedules and ensure the manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational. 
  • Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes comply with all government laws and regulations.
  • Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs, schedules, and future production requirements to assist management in decision-making.
  • Train production personnel in new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing operations
  • Conduct time studies; determine manufacturing capacities. Assist in production scheduling
  • Advises on design, fabrication, and modification of products for manufacturability
  • Support manufacturing operations such as machining, tooling, welding, and assembly
  • Employ Lean and Six Sigma concepts and practices; conduct Kaizen events
  • May assign work to technical staff and manufacturing personnel
  • CNC programming storage, revisions, enhancements
  • Lean mind-set

Qualifications

  • Technical degree and/or certification required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Four (4) or more years’ experience in drafting; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Proven experience with the following ID tools: Solid Works, Illustrator/Photoshop CS5, Autocad, Excel, Adobe
  • ERP experience preferred
