Its youth education and technology programs teach skills to allow its students and clients to become more self-sufficient and independent. As a community resource, the organization also provides services to families and a growing senior population. In 2020 the organization began food distribution as an additional way to provide economic support to the community we serve.
Mott Haven Community High School is a transfer school located in the Samuel Gompers Educational Complex in the Mott Haven section of the South Bronx. The Learning-to-Work Program at Mott Haven Community High School is administered by East Side House, Inc., which complements the academic component by providing additional academic help, career and education exploration, work readiness, skills development, and internships.
