PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Primary responsibilities of the Metal Shear Operator is to decan spent catalytic converters utilizing a guillotine shear to extract the inner catalyst (ceramic honeycomb).

For Standard Safety methods Operators must complete a Shear inspection at the beginning and the end of each shift in addition to the following duties:

Operators must undergo a mandatory 40-hour training course and must pass all safety requirements prior to operating.

Operators will train for an additional two weeks under the direct supervision of a trained operator.

Complete batch and daily paperwork accurately

Clean up of area between batches and at the end of the day

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is required.

Previous experience operating an industrial Press machine, Shears, or hydraulic machinery or equipment is strongly preferred.

Stable work history.

Potential candidates MUST be able to lift up to 70 pounds regularly, stand for the entire shift, bend, squat, twist and turn

Potential candidates MUST be able to pass a successful pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, which includes but not limited to misconduct involving gross felonies or misdemeanors pertaining to, theft, sexual misconduct, battery and assault. All results will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
