Educational:
- Master’s Degree preferred, MUST have bachelor’s degree in business management, Human Resources, or related area.
- PHR/SPHR or CEBS certification preferred.
Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of progressive experience working as a senior level Human Resources professional, preferably in a NYS Education or OPWDD-funded programs, or other health, education, or human services environment.
- 3 to 5 years of direct management experience.
- Knowledge of SED Certification requirements, DOE/ DOE PETS system, and DOI notices regarding criminal history, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of State and OPWDD-related background check requirements.
- Familiarity credentialing process and requirements of education, nursing, and other licensed professionals.
Skills:
- Detail orientated and able to multi-task.
- Should have strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify trends and recruitment benchmarking.
- Working knowledge of Paycom or other HRIS systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
