Job Description:

Join the Neat team as a Load Quality Inspector on 2nd shift starting at 4:30 pm!  This position is responsible for effectively examining each load to ensure customers, drivers, and the company are represented with the highest standard possible.  The ideal candidate must take pride in their work as the company’s reputation and bottom line depend on each load being delivered accurately, safely and on time.  

Duties:

  • Products are inspected and accounted for, including as appropriate, quantity, quality, type, condition, spec, etc., and discrepancies are noted and brought to the attention of the load yard supervisor
  • Check all products to ensure they are new, undamaged and match the load sheet    
  • Ensures all products on trailers meet DOT Standards
  • Video loads as they are being loaded for future reference
  • Check trailer flats, tool boxes, and dunnage racks for returned products
  • Write all returned products in specified area on back of load sheet
  • Ensure all products are banded together as specified on load sheet
  • Evaluates load, examines and moves product to add efficiency for customers and drivers during the off-loading process
  • Review the paperwork for proper and timely handling and placement of receipts or picking orders
  • Participate in keeping the load yard clean and free of debris and participates in cleaning, and manual loading/unloading
  • Operate forklift safely and obey company policies regarding the load yard and the operation of the forklifts
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Experience preferred, but not necessary.  Must have forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, understand and follow directions
  • Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy work.  Must be able to lift 50 + lbs.
  • Must be able to work efficiently in an outdoor environment (100+degrees) to below freezing with the ability to stand 8+ hours per day
  • Must be able to wear and use appropriate protective equipment as necessary
