We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage payroll processes for our growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, compliance, and misc equity/reporting. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all payroll functions, including bi-weekly payroll processing for domestic employees (international PR a plus)
- Analyze changes from prior payrolls and present to upper management
- Lead payroll audits and ensure all payroll transactions are accurate and processed on time.
- Review payroll related journal entries and map earnings/deductions/taxes accordingly
- Reconcile Payroll reports: ensure tax reports (940, 941s, W2’s are accurate)
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and international payroll laws, as well as equity-related regulations.
- Administer stock equity compensation programs, ensuring accurate withholding, reporting, and taxation of equity transactions.
- Stay current with payroll and equity compensation trends, tax updates, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain payroll systems and partner with 3rd parties to implement process enhancements and automation.
- Generate payroll-related reports for internal stakeholders and assist with financial planning and forecasting.
