The Opportunity:
Are you a highly skilled and motivated CPA with a strong background in audit? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a keen eye for detail? Journey Health and Lifestyle is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This is a critical leadership role that will report directly to our Vice President of Finance/Accounting and be instrumental in shaping our financial future.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the annual audit process, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting department.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in audit.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage and develop a team.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Acumatica ERP system highly preferred.
- Big 4 accounting firm experience a significant plus.
