The Accounts Receivable Specialist will assist in ensuring the company direct bill commissions are accurate and posted in appropriate accounts.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Obtains, records, verifies, and posts carrier direct bill commission payments and related transactions.
•    Maintains and updates files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
•    Accurately posts commission payment amounts to appropriate client policies to the agency management system via data upload, excel spreadsheets or manually.
•    Transitions data from carriers into excel spreadsheets, as needed.
•    Other job duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:  

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and related software as well as other accounting software programs.  
  • Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.   
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  

Education or Experience  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.  
  • At least two years of related experience required. 

Working Environment/ Physical Activities 

  • General office work environment.  
  • Requires regular use of arms, hands, and fingers.  
  • Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, reach with arm and hands, stand, walk, stoop, talk and hear.  
  • Required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

This position may have access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI).  An employee will be responsible for following the guidelines of the HIPAA Confidentiality Agreement.
