POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for risk management, portfolio monitoring and reporting across lending channels, with a primary focus on C&I and Community Business Banking loans. Duties include overseeing problem loans and related activity such as collections, workouts, and liquidation efforts. This role will ensure that the portfolio is monitored and evaluated in accordance with regulatory guidance and internal procedures and policies. We are looking for a highly proactive and diligent individual who shares our vision to “WOW” internal and external customers with exceptional customer service.    

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Responsible for managing and monitoring problem loans in the commercial loan portfolio to enhance the Bank’s position and avoid charge-offs.   
  • Works with loan officers on resolution for past due payments, delinquent property taxes, lapsed insurance and Secretary of State standings, etc.
  • Interacts will borrowers utilizing internal and external resources including bank counsel to identify issues and work towards appropriate resolutions.
  • Ensure that loans are up to date with covenant checks, financials, site visits, and loan reviews.
  • Prepares risk rating change requests, default notices, negotiates cures for defaults, and tracks for necessary follow-up efforts.
  • Coordinates and manages loan liquidation efforts.
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly problem loan reporting and status updates.
  • Assists the Credit Administration team in managing complex problem loans.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting and/or equivalent or education and experience highly preferred.

  • Minimum two years of experience in credit underwriting, loan structuring, credit policy analysis, special assets/workouts, and portfolio management.

  • Well-developed analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.

  • Knowledge of applicable bank policies, procedures, and support systems.

  • Exposure to SBA products and procedures is a plus.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be skilled in Microsoft Office Products, with the ability to learn banking software.
