Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Food Production Manager to oversee all aspects of food production within our hospital setting. This role ensures that daily food service operations meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and the diverse needs of our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Ordering & Inventory Management:
- Manage procurement of food and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement efficient stock rotation practices.
- Daily Production Oversight:
- Ensure adherence to daily production schedules and standardized recipes.
- Monitor food preparation processes to guarantee consistency, quality, and compliance with health regulations.
- Cafeteria Management:
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff operating the employee and patient cafeterias.
- Collaborate on menu design that meets nutritional guidelines and caters to diverse dietary needs.
- Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and service quality.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all food production activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including DOH and Joint Commission standards.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training opportunities.
