The Tower Technician Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing a crew of technicians who install, maintain, and repair cell towers and related telecommunications equipment. This role involves a combination of hands-on technical work, leadership, and administrative duties.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ability to climb up to 180 foot towers while wearing approximately 30lbs of safety equipment.
  • Pass all safety and tower climbing certifications and/or ensure all certifications kept up to date.
  • Responsible for safety and wellbeing of 3 person crew
  • Operation of capstan hoist
  • PIM, Sweep, and fiber testing
  • Installing and writing hybrid and Raycaps
  • Daily completion of JSA’s
  • Crafting and implementing proven rescue plan
  • Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of company vehicle
  • Ensuring all equipment available and ready for daily assignments

Qualifications

Critical Skills:

  • 2+ years of wireless industry experience as a Tower Tech Foreman in the installation of major wireless carrier’s equipment on network infrastructure preferred but not required.
  • Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge and experience with crane hoisting, rigging, and signaling operations strongly preferred
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to adhere to strict safety standards
  • Ensure that all work adheres to industry standards of quality and best practices
  • Ability to pass DMV background screening
  • Strong work ethic and high level of craftmanship
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools while being mechanically inclined
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Highly reliable and able to pass drug screening.

Background and Experience:

  • Experience operating commercial truck and trailer combination under 26,000 GVW preferred
  • Acceptable driving record a must
  • Reliable transportation a must
  • OSHA 30 Certification a plus
  • First Aid/CPR certification a plus
