Job Overview:
The Global Operations Manager for Commercial Sales is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the Commercial Sales Team, including pricing strategies, shipment tracking, and the maintenance of the Transportation Management System (TMS). This role is critical in ensuring that the Operations Team meets customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while effectively collaborating with customers and Sales Representatives to enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations Management:
- Supervise daily operational activities, including pricing strategies, shipment tracking, and timely updates to the TMS.
- Ensure the seamless operation of all processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- KPI Monitoring:
- Monitor and assess the performance of the Operations Team against established customer KPIs.
- Implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve or surpass performance targets for customers.
- Customer Interaction:
- Assist in the preparation for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), providing relevant insights and data to support discussions with customers.
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives to identify customer needs and address any operational challenges.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the Operations team, cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team performance and operational knowledge.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization within the operational framework.
- Establish and promote best practices to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior management.
- Analyze data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions regarding operational initiatives.
