Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary:
The Senior Data Analyst will serve as a Liaison between Business Stakeholders, Business Product owners and data analytics teams, translate business requirements to functional requirements for data products and work with business and IT SLT to manage data quality and data governance. This role will be the data product manager and subject matter expert for data process, metrics, KPIs, data flow in and out of data warehouse systems.

Essential Job Functions:
• Understand high-level business objectives and translate business requirements to technical requirements for data teams and partner IT teams.
• Build a deep understanding of data, data fields, transactions, and workflows. Hands on experience in SQL and Analytics tools like Azure and PowerBI, to interpret data for adhoc analysis and automated dashboards, reporting.
• Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data analysis, design & development, data integrity, test design, data validations, and documentation.
• Comfortable in understanding data model, data structure, data flow and data analytics applications.
• Partner closely with business teams and technical teams to understand business problems and identify requirements. Participate in requirement and data analysis ,report design sessions with cross-functional teams.
• Produce accurate, consistent and timely reporting by extracting information from various applications and systems, manipulating data and developing user friendly final outputs leveraging Azure, PowerBI and other data analytics applications.
• Lead data quality framework and QA,UAT efforts with business and engineering teams.
• Identify reporting processes that are inefficient and create/change processes that will lead to measurable gains in data quality and reporting processing time.
• Actively champion data analytics best practices and contribute towards data quality initiatives. Partner with data teams to improve data assets, quality, metrics and insights.
• Define the business problem and solution approach autonomously with limited guidance.

• The ideal candidate can collaborate with users, project managers, developers, and business analysts to understand and translate business needs into data analytics products and has experience effectively coordinating data analytics and data integration efforts.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Must be comfortable working in an offshore-onshore model.

• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
similar focus area.
• 8 to 10 years of working experience as Data Analyst, Project Manager, Product Manager in Data and Analytics space working with data engineering, data analytics teams.
• Experience at enterprise level understanding data mapping, data flow, data model, translating business requirements to functional requirements for data teams
• Hands-on experience in data visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau and SQL.
• Familiar with best practices in reporting and analysis: adhoc data requests, data quality, data analysis validations, project management in Jira and documentation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
• Experience working with global teams in an offshore-onshore model
