Role’s Mission:

The SHINE Coordinator -Fort Worth Campus partners with a FW Associate Pastor and Central Special Needs Minister to be the lead architect, implementor, champion, coach, and shepherd for the special need’s ministry at the Fort Worth Campus.

  • As the Champion – you will carry a passion for individuals with special needs and their families, find a place of belonging within the Fort Worth Campus and champion others on Fort Worth Staff to join in the mission of Special Needs Ministry.
  • As the Architect, you evaluate the Special Needs program and consult with the Special Needs minister and FW Associate Pastor to implement needed changes.
  • As the Implementer, you train, develop and oversee an effective team of front-line volunteers to execute a safe, fun and thriving special needs program.
  • As the Shepherd, you will work with staff, volunteers and parents to care and come alongside them as they care for people with disabilities
  • As a Coach, you will work with the various ministries at Fort Worth Campus to coach, collaborate and empower the ministries at the Fort Worth Campus to serve their families with special needs.

Reporting Relationship:

This position reports directly to an Associate Pastor and coached by Special Needs Minister.

Part-time, non-exempt, hourly

 

Qualifications

Position’s Requirements:

Character

  • Must be a maturing believer who is obviously, consistently and increasingly manifesting the fruit of the Spirit in his daily walk with Christ (Galatians 5:22-23) as well as among others
  • Must be living an “above reproach” lifestyle as outlined in the Christ Chapel Employee Handbook
  • Must be a faithful steward of work and time, with awareness that Christ Chapel employees are paid from the tithes and offerings of others
  • Must be a joy to supervise (Hebrews 13:17)

Calling

  • Must be committed to and supportive of the authority of the Elders, the pastoral staff, and the philosophy and direction of the church both in public and in private
  • Must be able to articulate a specific and clear calling to ministry with children.

Competency

  • If a believer receives only one gift (1 Pet 4:10), then the ideal candidate has the spiritual gift of administration.  (Rom 12; 1 Cor 12; Eph 4; 1 Pet 4) 

Chemistry

  • Must be dependable, humble and approachable
  • Must work well within a team environment
  • Must have an optimistic, positive and cheerful demeanor.
  • Must be able to receive direction and correction - a joy to supervise
  • Must be flexible and adaptable

  • Be actively involved in Christ Chapel and have a positive track record of serving.
  • Have a reputation of being relatable with a wide variety of people and personalities, both adults and children.
