WAGE: $75,000 - $85,000/annually

SUMMARY OF JOB
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, implementation, and management of Alfred’s technology infrastructure across HQ and retail locations. This leadership role ensures that all hardware, software, network systems, and technology operations support the evolving needs of the business, enabling smooth, secure, and scalable growth.
This individual will lead a small but agile team, manage relationships with third-party vendors, and collaborate cross-functionally to identify and deploy effective technology solutions. The IT Manager will be expected to develop standards, ensure systems reliability, and drive innovation in line with Alfred’s core values.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute Alfred’s IT strategy aligned with operational and growth goals.
- Manage IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Identify and implement new technologies to improve efficiency, security, and customer/team experience.
- Lead IT projects, from planning and design through implementation and support.
Systems & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee network operations, data security, POS systems, digital signage, and cloud services across HQ and cafe locations.
- Ensure system uptime, performance monitoring, and rapid issue resolution.
- Maintain and enforce data protection and cybersecurity protocols.
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including cameras, alarm systems, internet/Wi-Fi, and hardware lifecycle management.
Support & Team Development
- Supervise and mentor IT staff or contractors, ensuring training and documentation of all systems.
- Set service level expectations and monitor helpdesk ticketing systems and support KPIs.
- Provide high-level support when escalated issues require direct intervention.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and best practices guides.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary IT point of contact for all departments and locations.
- Work closely with Operations, Retail, Marketing, and Finance to support company-wide initiatives and digital transformation projects.
- Coordinate system rollouts, upgrades, and training with minimal disruption to business operations.

Ongoing App Maintenance and Updates
- Address any issues or glitches that users report
- Regularly update the app to improve performance, add new features, and ensure compatibility with the latest operating system.
- Implement security measures to protect user data and prevent breaches or scammers.
- Keep the app's menu accurate and up-to-date with new items, price changes, and seasonal specials.
- Manage and promote special offers and loyalty programs through the app
- Update store hours, location details.
- Ensure the app seamlessly integrates with our coffee shops existing operating systems, such as point-of-sale and inventory management.
