SUMMARY

The On-site Improvement Specialist provides professional project management support to the operational department within LTS (Lifetime Services). Starting from the on-site implementation of contracts and through the contract lifecycle. They will ensure the success of new site delivery and continually support existing sites. They will drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout LTS by working closely with the Site Engineering Managers and their teams on the overall LTS strategy that the operations department and support group initiatives that are being deployed. This role will apply lean methodologies and improvement - utilizing 5S, process mapping and problem-solving using RCA tooling, creating smarter maintenance plans, and driving FMECA studies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the go-live of new resident LTS contracts inclusive of recruitment, training, workshop setup, and maintenance strategy, and be the go-to person for REA for all project related issues that may impact LTS.
  • Liaise with the LTS Sales and Operations Departments for any new site and support and advise accordingly.
  • Work closely with the TGW REA Project Manager / Supervisors and all sub-contractors to ensure the installation is maintainable and accessible for the LTS end user and to be proactive in ensuring that the work being carried out for the LTS contract is to the correct TGW standard.
  • Responsible for the management of incident reports, correct investigations, and contributions towards seeking solutions with the site managers and the customer
  • Working with health and safety protocols to increase standards and awareness across the TGW LTS platform
  • Ensure the entire project has been snagged, documented, and ownership agreed upon before SG06 has been completed. Ensuring there is a successful transition from the LTS project to the LTS On-Site team.
  • Participate in and update the REA core team meetings on the status of the LTS project.
  • Ensure a smart delivery of the CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system) platform into new and legacy sites and work across all sites to make CMMS the tool of choice for the end user.
  • To complete post implementation CI reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future sites/departments.
  • Participate in design risk assessment reviews with sales to support right first time installation.
  • To support the delivery of better onsite service offerings through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within the LTS processes and identification of better ways of working and contributing towards site KPIs.
  • Work with process engineering to support DART platform roll out across all sites.
  • To lead and facilitate LEAN/Process Improvement based workshops to drive ideas and solutions across LTS.
  • Provide support of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls and Retrofit.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects utilizing tools such as 5S, FMECA, Standardized working, problem solving using RCA tooling, and roll out to LTS end user.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Associate or Technical Degree/Certification or equivalent experience preferred

Experience:

Prior experience within the Material Handling/Automation Industry is required.

Prior experience in consulting and establishing Resident Maintenance/Automation Teams.

Travel:

30% – 50% of travel as required.

Skills & Abilities

  • History of working in project management roles within the Material Handling/Automation Industry.
  • Minimum accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, preferably Green Belt minimum, and OSHA-30.
  • Must be flexible with respect to working hours and have an aptitude for managing and motivating all site team members across the United States.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain stationary at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to go to site frequently and move safely around industrial and/or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices.
  • Ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing, on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region.

Other Requirements

This position may require work at TGW customer sites.  TGW’s customers may require background checks before accessing their sites.  Refusal to participate in a customer-required background check may result in a customer barring access and a subsequent reduction in work.
