SUMMARY |
The Technical Sales Associate reports to the Manager of LTS Sales and plays a crucial role in supporting and assisting the LTS sales team. This position promotes the Lifetime Services portfolio while acquiring technical expertise in TGW equipment and services. This Technical Sales Associate develops and maintains the necessary technical knowledge to provide accurate quotations and ensure that customer requirements are thoroughly understood and addressed through customized solutions. |
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Develop and enhance technical knowledge of TGW equipment and portfolio offerings.
- Learn contract language, estimating, and sales presentation skills to effectively deliver targeted sales campaigns aligned with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with Technical Sales Consultants and Business Development to identify sales opportunities and drive business growth within the existing LTS portfolio.
- Support the LTS Sales department by maintaining and strengthening current customer relationships, understanding their specific needs and challenges.
- Partner with internal sales, realization, and operations teams to create customized solutions that address customer requirements.
- Assist with estimating, quoting, contract development, and sales presentations while becoming a subject matter expert on technical offerings.
- Gain expertise in the cradle-to-grave sales process.
- Perform additional duties and participate in training as required.

REQUIREMENTS |
Education: |
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.) or equivalent work experience. |
Experience: |
Prior experience in a sales role, selling engineering solutions, services, equipment, or related. Preferably in automation, engineering, computer science, information technology, or related fields. |
Travel: |
25 % of travel as required. |
Skills & Abilities |
- Strong understanding of material handling systems and automation technologies; experience with TGW products is preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships; exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Physical and Cognitive Requirements
- Ability to remain stationary at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and materials up to 20 lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to use office equipment, computers, and various electronic devices constantly throughout workday.
- Ability to move around office environment and reach with hands and arms regularly.
- Ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing, on a frequent basis.
- Ability to focus and complete tasks throughout workday in office environment.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region.

This position may require work at TGW customer sites. TGW’s customers may require background checks before accessing their sites. Refusal to participate in a customer-required background check may result in a customer barring access and a subsequent reduction in work. |
