SUMMARY |
The Software Project Manager is a specialized project manager who works closely with the Software team and the General Project Manager on a specific project to deliver a successful implementation of TGW software to the customer. |
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Manages the successful delivery of integrated software systems into complex automated material handling systems.
- Maintains an active role in client relationships and facilitates sales opportunities.
- Interprets and communicates complex technical and commercial issues with customer.
- Develops specification documents, including functional specifications, interface specifications, network infrastructure requirements and specifications.
- Works with system integration team to define the interface points between subsystems.
- Leads onsite installation and commissioning of, and training on, software solutions.
- Organizes and leads acceptances testing processes.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS |
Education: |
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience. |
Experience: |
Minimum of three (3) years of software project management/leadership experience, or related. |
Travel: |
Up to 50% domestic and international travel. |
Skills & Abilities |
- Familiarity with Microsoft .NET Platform and/or Java.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server – Version Control, work item management
- Understanding of Windows Server Environments with VM Ware
- Knowledge of hardware requirements definition and order (server hardware, peripherals, PCs, scanners, printers, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, internal and external.
- Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain stationary at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to go to site frequently and move safely around industrial and/or warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices.
- Ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing, on a frequent basis.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region.

Other Requirements
This position may require work at TGW customer sites. TGW’s customers may require background checks before accessing their sites. Refusal to participate in a customer-required background check may result in a customer barring access and a subsequent reduction in work. |
