Job Title: Loan Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary
The Loan Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and oversight of the loan accounting department. This position ensures accurate financial tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of the bank’s loan portfolio. The role requires in-depth knowledge of core loan systems, banking regulations, and loan operations, and involves both supervisory duties and hands-on work. The Loan Accounting Supervisor will support regulatory reporting, internal audits, and process improvements while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to policies and procedures.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Regulatory Preparation & Reporting
- Prepare documentation and systems for State and FDIC examinations.
- Compile and deliver quarterly loan call reports and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Perform reconciliation of various loan-related accounts.
- Reporting & Data Management
- Prepare data feeds for third-party interfaces.
- Develop and schedule distribution of H360 reports for loan-related information.
- Research/report to executive management as necessary
- Process and review daily and monthly loan reports.
- Conduct loan system maintenance and verification tasks periodically.
- Team Supervision & Training
- Supervise daily operations and team members in the loan accounting department.
- Assist with training of loan personnel on the core loan system, as needed or upon request.
- Support staff development and ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
- System Oversight & Maintenance
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding the core loan system.
- Serve as the primary liaison for communication with the core system provider regarding system issues or enhancements.
- Assist with system maintenance verification and core system-related issue resolution.
- Customer & Internal Support
- Ensure confidentiality of all customer transactions and activity.
- Provide support for loan research and resolution of customer inquiries.
- Review loan documentation to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Assist with processing paid loans and tracking insurance requirements.
- Assist in payment of various vendor invoices related to loan operations.
- Participate in SBA loan reporting tasks and other federal loan program compliance activities.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure understanding of and adherence to all relevant lending regulations, bank policies, and procedures.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in loan operations or banking.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a financial setting.
- Strong knowledge of loan products, banking regulations, and lending procedures.
- Proficiency with core banking systems (e.g., Jack Henry, FIS, Fiserv, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
