The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician who is a team player and enjoys providing top notch hospitality. The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is a flagship property of Shamin Hotels, Central Virginia's largest hotel management company. We have tripled in size to 78 full- and select-service hotels over the past ten years and own and operate hotels under the Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, InterContinental and Choice flags.

The ideal candidate will be available to work a flexible full-time schedule that will include second shifts (3:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), but also first and midday shifts as needed. We are open 24/7/365 days a year, so you must be able to work some weekends and holidays. Limited overtime might be required on occasion as well. We have a team environment, so a positive attitude and friendly demeanor is required. The ideal candidate will be looking for long-term employment with room to grow with Shamin Hotels.
Job Duties:
- Maintain properties, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
- Replace AC filters.
- Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
- Tend furnace, air-conditioner, and boiler equipment and maintain other equipment with standard preventative maintenance procedures.
- Maintain records on all equipment maintenance and repair.
- Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Maintain superior quality of appearance of interior and exterior of hotel to Hilton and Shamin standards.
- Repair wallpaper, carpet, sheetrock, and doors of hotel.
- Keep an orderly and well-stocked inventory of finishing supplies.
- Check operation of all guest room equipment.
- Inspect and repair minor problems in common areas.
- Learn and communicate emergency procedures.
- Be responsible for safe operation of all equipment, chemicals, and lockout procedures.
- Performs other related duties as required.
