General Accountant
The General Accountant reports to the Chief Financial Officer and handles the management and reporting of financial data. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation and performing general account function, as required.
The essential functions outlined below are just a few of the keys to a successful role:
- Full cycle Accounts Receivable, including preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records
- Accounts Payable including purchase orders, work orders, and vendor records maintenance
- Multiple bank reconciliations for depository accounts
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; review for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed
- General Ledger maintenance
- Administration of quarterly business taxes
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Maintain required business documents
- Prepare annual 1099’s
- Aid with the annual budget and financial forecasting through audit process.
- Maintain financial document files
- New vendor set-up and maintenance
- Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies
- Deposit and Cash Reports
- Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
