ABOUT FKO:

For Kids Only Afterschool (FKO) is a non-profit, out-of-school time provider based in 17 locations throughout five cities. With a mission to support the holistic needs of children, FKO fully believes learning extends well beyond the classroom, and OST Educators are a key component to building life-long learning skills.

The overall responsibility of the Family Greeter is to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for FKO families and guests upon arrival at the program.

This position is for Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 9:00am.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Ensure safety and security by allowing only FKO parents or other authorized adults to dismiss children from the program and only approved visitors/guests to enter the program;

· Engage in conversation with family members as they arrive at the program to dismiss their child and share all necessary information with Site Director;

· Follow Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations and FKO policies regarding pick up procedures, attendance record keeping, etc.;

· Set up and breakdown the Family Resource Center;

· Ensure family members receive all program notices and flyers;

· Perform clerical tasks, such as answering phones, entering attendance data, etc.;

· Step in as a substitute Out-of-School Time Educator, if asked by the supervisor at any given time; and

Perform other duties assigned by the Site Director or Executive Director

Job Requirements:

· Must be 18 years of age or older

· Must pass MA EEC Background Record Check

· Must be able to provide/maintain documentation to complete staff file, as required by EEC

· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements:

· Requires standing for long periods of time, as well as stooping, squatting, and running

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
