At Vighter, we take pride in partnering with Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) to deliver compassionate healthcare services to our nation’s veterans. We are seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide exceptional care at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Support patient mobility and ambulation needs, including transferring patients and ensuring safety during activities.
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Strong understanding of basic patient care principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards.
- Proficiency in monitoring and documenting vital signs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
- One year of CNA experience and certification is required. The provider shall possess the required qualification/elements to be privileged and/or credentialed in accordance with the VetPro, background checks, fingerprinting, badging, annual fit testing, and pre-employment and annual drug testing.
- Must have and maintain one of the following certifications: Basic Life Support for health care providers through the American Heart Association®, CPR for the professional rescuer through the American Red Cross or the American Safety and Health Institute.
Duty Hours / On-call Requirements
- BAMC is open 24/7/365. This position requires rotational on-call duties and may necessitate return to the facility to provide care.
- This position has availability to workday, evening and night shifts. Availability during weekends and holidays is a possibility. Advanced notice will be provided for scheduling purposes.
- We try our best to accommodate your schedule, so please inform Vighter of your desired schedule and/or geographic limitations in advance.
- Tours will be a minimum of eight (8) hours (i.e., 7:30am-4:00pm; 3:30pm-12am; 11:30pm-8:00am) local time and a maximum of 12 hours (i.e., 7 am - 7 pm or 7pm - 7 am) local time. No double tours or sequential tours will be permitted.
