JOB SUMMARY

Performs operational duties to maintain all deposit accounts. Review new account information entered into the data system by branches and online account opening.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist branch and internal department employees with the proper guidance and interpretation of bank policies and procedures via telephone and email. Completes research and follow up in a timely manner to ensure issues are resolved properly and timely.
  • Review new accounts opened through the online channel. Forward pending account opening notifications to appropriate branches for follow up. Completion of various reports related to online account opening for tracking and management review.
  • Review new accounts and CIFs opened through the online channel and branch channel. Track and communicate missing account documentation monthly with branches.
  • Monitor and track CIF maintenance for address changes and provide notification to customers for verification of change.
  • Daily review of closed and dormant account report and processing of closed and dormant accounts in accordance to policy.
  • Complete account maintenance and review account maintenance completed by other operations employees to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Print and mail various customer notices daily including address change verification, CD maturity and renewal, dormant account and CD and IRA Interest and Distribution checks.
  • Scan various department maintenance forms, signature cards and new accounts documents not e-signed in the branches.
  • Responsible for compliance within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor accounts for excessive debits in accordance to Reg D.
  • Order coin and currency from the Federal Reserve as requested for branches and ATMs.
  • Review of Reg CC holds and stop payment requests placed by branches for accuracy and track receipt of hold notices provided to customers.
  • Process and track undeliverable mail.
  • Work Yellow Hammer fraud suspect reports.
  • Order forms and supplies to distribute to the branches.
  • Other duties as requested.

Deposit Operations Backup/Secondary

  • Daily balancing of branch and ATM cash recap to GL and notification to managers when branch cash exceeds approved limits.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or equivalent is required; additional banking or business courses are helpful
  • Thorough knowledge of the banks products and services
  • Understanding of branch operations and security is beneficial
  • Two or more years of prior retail banking and/or branch operations experience is strongly preferred
  • Problem resolution experience
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and office equipment
  • Familiarity with banking compliance and deposit regulations
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
