Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions by performing reconciliations and posting appropriate journal for the preparation of the company’s financial reports and statements.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepare and post journal entries related to the company’s activity.
• Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and accruals.
• Supports account receivable activities, confirming month-end procedures have been performed.
• Reconcile bank accounts in accounting system.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations during month-end close procedures.
• Maintain customer and vendor database; assist in customer credit analysis.
• Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors.
• Perform Ad Hoc projects as necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• At least two years’ experience in accounting or a related field
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to read and analyze financial reports
• Proficient Excel skills including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
• Customer service focused.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong personal organization and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.
• Excellent priority management and problem-solving skills.
• Proven work experience in Windows environment.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Full-time on-site position located at our company’s headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida.
  We believe strongly in the philosophy that we are Better Together and that the collaboration and teamwork of being with each other in the office supports our culture the best.  For this reason, we work in the office Monday through Thursday.  We have chosen Friday as our weekly remote workday as we believe it to be the day that is most beneficial and effective for Basic Fun! and our employees.
