Specific to Role as Pharmacy Technician:
- Under Registered Pharmacist supervision, ethically and lawfully execute and complete Pharmacy Technician duties described in the Hospital Pharmacy Manual and duties mandated by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
- Fill Medical Staff medication orders for Hospital and Medical Clinics patients, and prepare month-end account statements that relate to filling such orders.
- Receive pharmaceutical products from external sources, and ensure appropriate invoice documentation for such products.
- Ensure proper Department medication supply, and ensure that such supply is used or disposed prior to medication expiry.
- Assist with monthly medication center inspection.
- Additional Professional Development:
- Maintain educational requirements for all required licensure and certification.
- Attend professional conventions and in-services on current pharmacy topics.
- Annually demonstrate competence in Department equipment operation.
- Within practice scope, perform other duties assigned by Pharmacy Director and Clinical Pharmacists.
