We are seeking an experienced Peri-Anesthesia Registered Nurses to enhance our healthcare team of innovated leaders. Peri-Anesthesia RNs serve in Pre/Post-Operative units, and PACU. Additionally, call standby and call-back receive an hourly rate and time and one-half times, respectively, applied to these hours.Â
Department Description:Â We have a busy and growing surgery department with an outstanding personable team to work! In Surgical Services, we have seven pre and post beds, 4 PACU bays, three large surgical suites, and a fourth surgical-GI suite. We also service a surgical suite in the Family Birthing Center.
Responsibilities:Â
- Work in an environment where patients receive surgical interventions in the specialty areas of: General Surgery with robotics, Podiatry, Orthopedic trauma & total joint replacements, Ophthalmology, OB-GYN with robotics, ENT/Head & Neck.
- Acting within their scope of practice, optimize provision of peri-anesthesia care from Pre-surgery to Phase 1 and Phase 2 care.
- Peri-anesthesia nurses ensure surgical conditions optimization via nursing assessment
- Â Effectively collaborate with Hospital staff and medical staff members toward provision of pre-operative, inter-operative, and post-operative care to surgical patients
- Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical and financial information per HIPAA.
