Description

The 3rd Shift Manufacturing Production Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing a group of team members, ensuring efficient processes, and achieving production targets. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting the Shift Supervisor with the day-to-day management of their manufacturing area, providing leadership and line management to the team, coordinating employees’ workloads, providing support to ensure that the team meets daily goals, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets are achieved. 

 

Full-time employees are eligible for a weekly attendance bonus! Eligible employees can receive an additional $1 per hour, for every hour worked, in addition to their hourly wages for working their scheduled shift.

 

Manufacturing Production Coordinator Responsibilities:

 

  • Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards
  • Ensure the team are aware of day to day targets and responsibilities
  • Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements, company policies, and procedures. Lead by example for adherence to company procedures and instructions
  • Ensure full adherence to housekeeping and safety practices at all times
  • Ensure equipment is functioning correctly and records are completed appropriately
  • Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated
  • Monitor change over and/or line set up efficiency
  • Prepare line set-ups for following shifts, including first piece inspections
  • Processes technical skill sets and interpret blueprints as needed
  • Responsible for training of operators for products and processes within the local team
  • Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success
  • Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
  • Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities. Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team
  • Undertake continuous training and development
  • Identify improvement opportunities and solve problems as needed
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

Manufacturing Production Coordinator Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory experience required
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Ability to plan, analyze and challenge
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Solid understanding of all people related processes and procedures
  • Good understanding of plant deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality
  • Must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs and work in a manufacturing setting. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
