While possessing a superior understanding of maintenance and repair principles, the technician will perform skilled tasks in the areas of electrical control and distribution, PLC/HMI I/O devices, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other industrial systems.
Essential Functions
Troubleshoot, test, and repair as needed faulty equipment using test equipment and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electrical unit and system.
Install, set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
Uses hand tools, instruments, and basic shop tools to support essential functions.
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on production and facilities equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical).
While using reference materials, troubleshoots and corrects equipment problems. Performs equipment failure analysis. Documents work performed.
Comply with established safety, health, environmental policies. Adheres to company policies, guidelines and procedures.
Mentors and guides junior technicians to develop maintenance skills.
Reports to a manager and works under the direction of lead personnel. Will also work under the general direction of functional area manager.
Job Specifications
Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires 8 years of electrical experience, and additional specialized training with certification
