Description

A restaurant hostess greets guests, manages reservations, and seats diners. They also help ensure guests have a good dining experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring: Monitor restaurant activity to ensure flow and seating 
  • Greeting: Welcome guests, answer questions, and provide a warm welcome 
  • Reservations: Take reservations, manage the waitlist, and communicate wait times 
  • Seating: Seat guests based on availability and preferences 
  • Menus: Provide guests with dinner and drink menus 
  • Side work: Set up and maintain the hostess station, bus tables, and assist with special requests
