Overview: Endera Motors is seeking a skilled Traveling Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This role involves extensive travel to support our Electric Shuttle and School Buses. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in electric vehicle (EV) maintenance and troubleshooting. Endera’s traveling service technicians are focused on working in a team environment with Engineers, suppliers, and consultants to keep our customers’ electric vehicles operating at the highest level.  The traveling service technician will be expected to learn and improve on high level skills to execute onsite support of Endera’s electric vehicles that are deployed throughout the United States.  The service techs at Endera are given responsibilities and challenging tasks that will elevate today’s level of electric vehicle technology.  The candidate must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, enjoy problem solving, be willing to travel often and with short notice to locations around the United States

  

 

General Responsibilities: 

  • Perform diagnosis and repair of vehicle’s electrical/mechanical/software
  • On-site support and technical on Endera Vehicles
  • Support of additional departments when authorized by direct supervisor
  • Gain knowledge of maintenance platforms and software tools for emerging EV sector
  • Work with Endera Engineers in documentation of new, proprietary designs and processes per prototype
  • Work safely and within company protocols around all High Voltage components
  • Travel extensively (50-75% of the year) to various locations to provide technical support for Endera's Electric Shuttle and School Buses.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electric vehicles, ensuring efficient and effective repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on EVs to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to provide feedback and insights from field operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of service and repairs performed on vehicles.
  • Provide training and support to local technicians and staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards during service operations.

We're Looking For

Qualifications: 

  • Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with EV-specific tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
  • Ability to travel 50%-75% of the year

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on or troubleshooting electric vehicles.
  • Master Technician status is a bonus.
