Educational Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in purchasing & supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or a related field is a prerequisite.
- (CIP) Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) or the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) preferred
- Knowledge of office applications is a mandatory requirement.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role is often a requirement – preferably within the automotive, EV, or transportation industry.
- Proven experience in interaction with different distributors/ suppliers is a requirement.
- Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and cost control.
- Experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment with an emphasis on high-mix, low-volume assembly.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, procurement software, and Excel-based cost modeling.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust with suppliers and internal teams alike.
